September 2018 – Passive Income
Here we go, October. The cold is making its way in. Its a nice change, when you work outside though. Our son already got his costume for Halloween – Mario. Time is just flying by!
September was another great month though, got some projects done around the house. We went to the Toronto Zoo a week or 2 ago. Unfortunately we thought our daughter would really enjoy it but she didn’t really notice the animals unless they moved. (shes 8 months old) Haha, me and our son loved it though.
The lil man started school again. Which is fantastic for all of us. I love hearing about what he’s learning new, and his classmates. The conversations are better when hes not at home all the time. He has 2 great teachers.
Other than that, not too much new.
Life is Good.

Conclusion
First of all, I’d love to thanks all of you for your continued support and putting up with the ads on the site. This is the 2nd time google has paid me a bit and definitely helps cover the cost to run the site. That payment is a nice bonus and gets moved right into direct investing towards the next purchase.
This was the 2nd time ever our passive income sources tossed us over $1500 in passive income. It truly is amazing to see these numbers. To think in the beginning of 2017 we were lucky to see a month over 200 bucks. If you wonder how we did it, as I often get asked check out this post – How we Increased our Forward income by $12,000 in One Year.
Unfortunately our dividend income was actually lower this month, compared to 3 months ago. This was because of the sale of Richie Bros Auctions to fund a new car. That dropped $30 each quarterly payment. Luckily this is a long term game and we will be back to those previous levels soon enough.
Sounds like Canada and the U.S finally agreed upon a new Nafta agreement, That’s great for the markets. Although it will make the stocks I’m interested in purchasing this month more expensive =)
As I stated earlier it was another great month all across the board. I think this will be the last $1500 month until the Sun perks up again in the spring next year. The weather can really fluctuate these passive income reports! By then though hopefully we will be in the $1700 range.

Great results not only from the dividends but the entire passive income stream! That is quite impressive over a relatively short period of time, and it is great that you were able to fund a new car purchase with a limited impact to the passive income too!

Thanks, yeah it is shocking the amount we are bringing in some months. Too bad i wasnt investing earlier or the market doesnt pull back to get some higher yields!
I remember reading Tawcan was buying banks up at around 25 bucks a share, that would be sweet!
Eventually I guess.
The car thing was definately nice but put a nice dent in my industrial and basic material sector. Those need some patching!

Looks like a very smooth month for you. A $30 quarterly drop to buy another car is not a big deal. You’ll reach the previous high in no time. I agree with you about the NAFTA deal. It’s positive for Canadian Stocks so we might not see good deals in October. Any thoughts about your next buy?

Honestly I dont really know too much. I think with Nafta finalized its basically guarantees a interest rate hike next time so most likely the financials will benefit most. Bns still looks good but algonquin power took a little dip today, so ill watch that as well.

Congrats on the fantastic month, Rob! I haven’t been to the zoo in a few years but I always enjoy it when I go. As for your dividend income and other passive income, you’re absolutely crushing it man! Nice job. $605.19 in dividend income is very impressive. I’m holding HLF, ENB, and Riocan too. I need to increase the position sizes. Also congrats on the blog income from Google Adsense. The extra income from blogging does help offset the costs of running a website.
As for my month, I didn’t set a new record, but I did post 368% yoy growth. I’m expecting a new record for the year in October. Thanks for sharing man!

All sorts of income streams this month… have to like that, especially the Adsense one, as that’s not as predictable as the others… at least not yet. 🙂
As for the dividends, ENB did some heavy lifting for you in September… more than 3x the next dividend payer. Good to see 3 new additions, too, to help offset the 5 sold.

Yeah my Enbridge postion is a pretty huge one in my portfolio. Love the company, but its hard to lower the percentage it has on my portfolio with dividends like this each quarter!
